Annoying Sportsman #1 - Tim Bresnan

I have decided to chart the most annoying sportsman past or present as it combines my two favourite pastimes - Sport and Moaning.

So where better place to start then with the Captain Annoying himself Tim Bresnan?

My dislike of Tim Bresnan runs so deep and is so well publicised among my friends that it has since become a long running joke with them feeling the need to clutter my life with references to the man himself - anything from links posted on my facebook wall about his Cricinfo profile or twitter page, to notes slid under my door saying "I LOVE TIM BRESNAN

So where does my dislike of Tim Bresnan manifest itself?

Well if i'm totally honest i'm not really sure. Having seen him in a few county games and failed to impressed I thought no more of him.

Then having watched a lot of him in the occasional test match I realised how bad he actually is.

Despite the lack of talent, it is his "Extra Curricular activities" so to speak that annoy me the most - Coming predominantly from his twitter account. The comments in particular that annoyed me the most:

This peeves me because while I am all for sportsmen using Social Networking sites, and for the fact that they have some down time between practices, Bresnan is more interested in the other stuff than the game itself.

This is further manifested in the fact that Will then says to me "He is only there for the banter". That proves my point. Tim Bresnan is not test match quality.

This annoys me because not only is Bresnan not worthy of his place in the squad, he then manages to injure one of the England's best bowlers less than three days into the tour. Luckily for England fans Swann looks to have recovered, but Bresnan is a liability and must be locked away.
